Varadero, Cayo Coco, Holguín – Cuban destinations most people associate with white sandy beaches and hotels. Behind the scenes, however, a serious technical infrastructure works to ensure these facilities operate day after day. With over two decades of Cuban experience, DENV-AIR is part of that infrastructure.
In April 2025, our colleagues traveled to Cuba again, where they participated in professional consultations related to hotel development and modernization projects. During the trip, we worked in the Varadero, Cayo Coco, and Holguín regions – three important Cuban tourism areas.
Over 20 Years of DENV-AIR Presence in Cuba
Cuba is not a new export market for DENV-AIR.
The company has maintained a presence related to Cuban export/import activities since 2004, and supports its partners with its own office in Havana and local service infrastructure. The long-term value of an industrial installation is determined not only by its technical parameters, but also by whether appropriate expertise, parts supply, and service support are available locally.
Compressor Technology in the Hospitality Industry
Behind the operation of a modern hotel complex are numerous technological systems that guests never see.
In mechanical and maintenance infrastructure, compressed air can be used for various technical and operational tasks. For a large facility, the operational reliability, proper sizing, energy-efficient operation, and maintainability of equipment are therefore particularly important.
DENV-AIR’s Cuban experience, moreover, extends beyond compressor technology. According to our own company profile, in addition to our mobile and electric compressors, we are also present in the Cuban hospitality industry with professional HONDA gardening equipment and beach cleaning machines, and we have established business relationships with numerous Gaviota luxury hotels.
Varadero, Cayo Coco, and Holguín – Development and Modernization
One important focus of our Cuban trip was the development and modernization of hotel infrastructure.
The significance of modernization is clearly visible in the Cuban tourism sector. In Varadero, for example, several hotels underwent renovations and reopenings in 2025, while renewed hotel capacity also appeared in the Cayo Coco region. Excelencias Cuba
In a hotel investment, however, upgrading the background infrastructure is just as important as the spectacular developments perceived by guests.
Reliable mechanical systems are not spectacular – until they are needed.
This is the area where DENV-AIR can leverage its decades of compressor technology and industrial experience.
Not Simply Export – Local Presence
In our international expansion, we consider local presence fundamentally important.
This is especially true in a distant market such as Cuba. For equipment operating more than 8,000 kilometers from Budapest, delivering the machine is not enough.
Therefore, DENV-AIR’s Cuban model is built on a combination of sales + local representation + technical support + service infrastructure.
Over two decades of Cuban experience has also created local market knowledge and a network of relationships that we can leverage in new projects and modernization investments.

Varadero, Cayo Coco, and Holguín once again showed us the two faces of Cuba.
One is the fantastic Caribbean environment: beaches, hotels, and tourist paradises.
The other is the less visible technical world that makes it all work.
