VRK SERIES: The Pinnacle of Compact Performance
The VRK series mobile screw compressors are characterized by two main features: compact design and high performance.
The primary goal in designing the ROTAIR VRK series was to create a single, compact, easily transportable, and immediately operational machine. It is ideally suited for use in hard-to-reach areas. It provides double air delivery performance in the range of 750-2150 liters/minute (0.75-2.15 m3/minute), at 6-13 bar pressure.
Innovative Technology and Operational Reliability
The VRK series screw compressors are designed to meet the strictest safety and operational standards, with minimal maintenance requirements:
Intelligent System: The exclusive ROTAIR Intelligent System allows the engine to preheat without overload. There is no longer a need to start with an open air outlet.
Long Lifespan: The system ensures proper lubrication even in extreme cold, increasing component durability. Shutdown is gradual during the stopping phase, preventing damage to the airend.
Drive: A highly efficient, oversized V-belt drive (trapezoidal belt-drive) ensures transmission with reduced maintenance needs.
Control: A pneumatic control system automatically adjusts the engine speed based on air demand, resulting in fuel savings.
Oil Content: One of the lowest oil contents in the air in its category: less than or equal to 1 PPM.
Special Design and Application Areas
VRK series machines are easy to transport and move. A lifting eye assists with crane operations.
Noise Reduction and Safety: The muffler is located under the machine to reduce noise levels and prevent accidental burn injuries.
Serviceability: All filters are easily accessible. Most filters (except the air filter) are ‘spin-on’ type for quicker replacement.
Safety: All moving parts are enclosed, in compliance with the strictest safety regulations.
Sandblasting Version
All ROTAIR models are also available in a version equipped with an aftercooler. These machines feature an additional cooler and a special condensate separator. Thus, their main application areas are sandblasting, as well as all processes sensitive to air humidity, such as laying optical cables.
