Another milestone in DENV-AIR’s Cuban presence: on March 19–20, 2025, we commissioned three new DENV-AIR DAPM20A energy-efficient screw compressors at Roca Real’s Cuban marble quarries. With the new units, a total of seven DENV-AIR compressors are now operating at the company – and the previously installed machines have been performing reliably for years.
A marble quarry represents a particularly demanding operating environment for equipment. Due to dust, continuous operation, and production operational reliability requirements, compressed air technology must be capable of consistently delivering the expected performance over the long term.
The DENV-AIR systems operating at Roca Real therefore represent not only another international reference for us, but also long-term confirmation of what we expect from an industrial compressor.
Three new DENV-AIR DAPM20A screw compressors in Cuba
As part of the March 2025 upgrade, we commissioned three DENV-AIR DAPM20A screw compressors.
The DAPM series is DENV-AIR’s mobile, electric motor-driven screw compressor family. One key advantage of the design is that it can be used for industrial applications where compressed air must be provided not in a traditional compressor house, but closer to the point of use.
This is a particularly valuable feature in mining environments.
When selecting the right compressor, however, it is not only the required air volume and pressure that matter. Specific energy consumption, load profile, operational reliability, and maintainability all determine the system’s actual operating costs.
That is why in DENV-AIR development, energy-efficient operation is not an additional consideration, but one of the foundations of system design.
Seven DENV-AIR compressors now at Roca Real
The most important message of the new installation is actually not the three new machines.
But the seven operating DENV-AIR compressors.
Our equipment previously installed at Roca Real’s Cuban marble quarries has been operating for years. The current new investment is therefore a continuation of an existing, functioning technological partnership.
A returning industrial customer is a particularly important reference: it indicates that the previously installed technology has proven itself under everyday operating conditions.
With the commissioning of the three new DAPM20A units, DENV-AIR’s technological presence in Roca Real’s production has expanded further.
Compressor technology in extreme industrial environments
Mining applications place serious demands on compressed air systems.
Equipment must operate in dusty, intensive industrial environments, while adequate availability is critical for production. An unexpected failure is not merely a service issue: it can also cause production downtime and direct economic loss.
Therefore, in this field it is particularly important to have:
- proper compressor sizing,
- energy-efficient operation,
- robust construction,
- regular preventive maintenance,
- and readily accessible parts and service support.
DENV-AIR’s more than two decades of presence in Cuba represents a real competitive advantage on this point.
More than two decades of experience in Cuba
For DENV-AIR, Cuba is not an occasional export market.
We have been present in the Cuban market since 2004, and through our Havana office and local technical support, we can not only supply equipment but also support its long-term operation.
For an industrial compressor operating thousands of kilometers away, this is of fundamental importance.
Our international business model is therefore not based on simple equipment export, but on a combination of technology + local presence + service + long-term partnership.
The seven compressors operating at Roca Real are a tangible example of this.

With the commissioning on March 19–20, 2025, another three DENV-AIR compressors began operation in Cuba.
3 new DAPM20A units. A total of 7 DENV-AIR compressors. Multi-year operating experience in a real mining environment.
For us, these are the references that truly matter.
The next steps are already taking shape: further developments are expected at Roca Real, so our Cuban partnership may continue with additional projects.
