This year, the culmination of many years of work by our director, József Gyenese, came to fruition when the modernization process of the compressor system began at INOTAL Zrt’s Ajka site. Following several years of preparatory consultations, the opportunity arose to upgrade the existing compressor fleet and replace the older technology with state-of-the-art solutions.
After extensive calculations, financial consultations, and verification measurements, INOTAL’s specialists selected our company’s most modern new DAPM175A compressor, featuring 100% direct drive and variable speed control, capable of providing up to 40% energy savings.
A crucial factor in this choice was the permanent magnet motor integrated into our compressor, which generates additional energy savings beyond the already significant energy efficiency provided by variable speed control. Important considerations included a favorable price-to-value ratio and low maintenance costs, which are exceptionally minimal thanks to our value-engineered compressor. Initially, a fixed-speed compressor, the DAAM175A (132 kW), was installed, followed now by its variable-speed counterpart, the energy-efficient DAPM175A.
This modern compressor now covers the fluctuations in compressed air demand, as it can maintain the target pressure within a +/- 0.1 bar range. This represents a significant advancement compared to the control systems of older compressors, and thanks to the resulting energy savings, this investment can pay for itself within 1-2 years. Further replacements will follow to ensure the step-by-step modernization of the entire machine park.
